Another school week done!

Had my two classes this morning and let me tell you, I wasn't happy with my first class! We write our poems and than we read them in class and than we go around and everyone says what they thought about it. Well mine today was a short poem about soccer. Everyone liked it just thought a little more clarification. Than it was the professors turn and he TORE IT APART!! I was not very happy and just sat there and listened. After we got all out of class, everyone came up to to me and told me that they were shocked with me cause everyone thought it was good but he defiently didn't. It's kind of unfair and don't know how you grade someones poems and judge how they wrote them. A poem is someones own writing and own understanding of it. If the poem isn't clear enough for the professor or he doesn't understand it. That doesn't me he can tear it apart and want it how he wants it. Sorry I like writing my own poems and my own way!! hopefully class will get better but now everyone is scared when it is their turn because they don't want it to be like mine. Ill write my poems and we will see what he says next time. The rest of the day wasn't that exciting as that or entertaining. I got a good workout in, another nap, and watched a couple of movies. Just watching more tonight and Britta is getting a little better but not full strength yet. And hopefully figuring more about Spring Break. We decided where we want to go. Edinbrugh to Frankfurt or Munich to Venice to Barcelona to London to meet mom, ann, and nikki. Now we just have to find flights, hotels and what we want to see!

Hope all is weel back in Minnesota!

Miss and love you all!!

  2. Ben, I read your post and wanted to add a comment. I think you have just one week for break and your plan is much too busy as it is. I'd say go to Munich and maybe Venice OR Barcelona before heading to London. You will spend a lot of time just getting places and see very little if you try to go too many places.
Keep in mind although a flight may be only an hour you need to factor in the time to the a/p, check-in, boarding, flight, getting to/finding your hotel upon arrival, etc., etc. Even a small transfer can take the better part of a day. Better yet, pick two places near one another so you can day trip and base in one or at least spend 2-3 nights in each.
What made you choose these cities? If you pick the one you like the most, I can help you coordinate. Maybe choose Munich and go see Salzburg or Innsbruck (easy train rides away) or do Venice/Florence, or Barcelona/Malaga. I think you'd enjoy Spain and the futball focus! Plus they have great food, music and entertainment. The Germans cities have fun beer gardens and great atmosphere. And Italy, of course, is on everyone's list because it is ITALY. V. romantic and special, but also very focused on art (which you seem not to be so interested in). Anyway, let me know if I can help. :)

  3. Royce,

This is a good thing! You'll be way ahead of the other guys when we do "Haiku Day" next pre-season. Shake it off dude!
Not sure if you've gotten any updates from the guys. The older team is 3-0 in indoor and the younger team beat CSS to go to 1-2. Baga lost a tooth in that game, btw. We got BELTED with snow this week. Classes canceled on Wednesday and campus was without power for a few hours.
I'm confused...was Fitzer at the rugby game, or was there a different streaker? Kidding...
Get a chance to watch the Carling Cup on Sunday? Liverpool banking some hardware!!
